First National Futsal Championship with two legs
The National Futsal Championship kicked off on March 19, the first season to apply the change in the competition format. Instead of concentrated football, divided into two phases like previous seasons, 8 teams will play two rounds in the form of home and away. The first leg period runs until April 18. The return leg starts from June 28 to August 4. With the new format, the tournament will have a total of 56 matches.
The rounds were held in 4 cities of Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang and Nha Trang with 8 teams including defending champion Sahako FC, runner-up Thai Son Nam, Thai Son Bac, Khanh Hoa, and Tan Hiep Hung. , Cao Bang, and two rookies Hanoi FC and Song Han FC (Da Nang). This is also the first season that allows each club to register one foreign soldier and one player of Vietnamese origin. The changes are intended to help teams have more opportunities to compete, while increasing competition.
Currently, after two rounds, three teams Sahako, Khanh Hoa and Hanoi share the top three positions with the same 4 points. GFDI Song Han after two defeats, ranked at the bottom of the rankings. Tran Minh Tuan (Khanh Hoa) leads the list of top scorers after scoring a hat-trick against Song Han in the opening match.
In addition to the changes in the competition format, the National HDBank Futsal Championship and the National HDBank Cup 2023 will also apply the form of online ticket booking.
