FIBA World Cup 2023 results on August 30: Slovenia and the US extend the unbeaten streak
Predicted as the top star of the US team at the FIBA World Cup 2023, Anthony Edwards has so far not disappointed any fans.
Accompanying Austin Reaves, Edwards led the US team to a third consecutive victory in Group C, beating Jordan with a strong 110-62 victory to end the first stage of the World Cup with an undefeated record.

Another star that also shines in the FIBA arena is Luka Doncic, who continues to play the role of leader and leader of the Slovenian team. Doncic scored the most points, had the most rebounds and assists on the day Slovenia surpassed Cape Verde.

However, the brightest individual performance of the day belonged to a young Serbian player, Nikola Jovic. The perfect day with 100% FG (25 points, 5-5 3PT) of the pitcher born in 2003 helped Serbia win against South Sudan.
Shooting 50% FG, shooting 3-5 3PT for 22 points, Anthony Edwards led the USA's winning effort against Jordan. Coach Steve Kerr's team topped Group C, unbeaten in all three group stage matches against Greece, New Zealand and Jordan.
Now the US team will enter the second round with two matches against the first and second team of Group D, respectively Montenegro and Lithuania. These are two opponents with quality NBA centers including Nikola Vucevic (Montenegro) and Jonas Valanciunas (Lithuania).

Like the US team, Slovenia, led by Luka Doncic, comfortably topped Group F with 3 wins. Their opponents in round 2 will be Australia and Germany, promising to create extremely watchable competitions between top NBA stars.
Slovenia won the European Championship (EuroBasket) in 2017 and reached the top-4 in the Tokyo Olympics 2021. However, they have never left a mark in the FIBA World Cup when the best achievement is only 7th place overall.
This time Luka Doncic and his teammates are more determined than ever, aiming for the medal podium.
