Euro 2020 champion breaks bones in car accident
Immobile was driving with her two daughters near the stadium of Olimpico, Rome when a tram hit, on the morning of April 16. Witnesses said the tram ran a red light. Immobile was taken to the hospital with injuries to his spine and ribs.

"Luckily I'm fine, just a little sore in my hand," Immobile said. According to doctors, the 33-year-old striker is likely to have two weeks off.
A Lazio club spokesman said: "Immobile suffered a spinal injury and fractured his right rib. He is being monitored by Professor Francesco Franceschi at the emergency department of the Agostino Gemelli University Hospital in Rome."
The train derailed after the accident. The driver and five passengers were taken to the hospital for treatment. Police are investigating the accident.
Immobile is the captain of Lazio. He is also the player with the most goals in Lazio history, with 194 goals in 289 matches. In the 2019-2020 season, Immobile scored 36 goals in Serie A and won the European Golden Shoe.

Immobile has been with Italy since 2014. He has scored 15 goals in 55 international matches. In the journey to win Euro 2020, the 33-year-old striker scored twice against Türkiye and Switzerland. It was also the biggest title of Immobile's career, ahead of an Italian Cup and two Italian Super Cups with Lazio.
