England player meets girlfriend before Senegal match

According to the Sun, Maddison and Alexa enjoyed a date night in Qatar. Alexa then posted a photo of her wearing a brown dress on Instagram, while her boyfriend wore an upside down cap and stylish sunglasses.

"Precious time," Alexa captioned the photo posted on December 2. The England midfielder responded with three heart symbols. The two started dating in 2020, have a son named Leo. Alexa used to model in the US, before returning to the UK.

Maddison's outing with his girlfriend is within the framework of England. Coach Gareth Southgate allowed the team to "release camp" shortly before the match against Senegal on December 4.

Maddison has yet to play a match at the 2022 World Cup. In the group stage, the 26-year-old Leicester midfielder did not play due to a minor injury. The last time Maddison played for England was also his debut on November 14, 2019, when he and the "Three Lions" defeated Montenegro 7-0.

In the first 14 club matches of the 2022-2023 season, Maddison scored 7 goals and assisted 4. That impressive performance helped him be called by coach Southgate to attend the 2022 World Cup.
