Italy Roma striker Paulo Dybala can sue his former club Juventus to claim a $4 million salary debt.

The Italian economic police are carrying out the Prisma project, an investigation into Juventus' budget for the period 2019-2021. According to Gazzetta, during the hearing on February 21, Dybala did not remember the last time he was paid by Juventus, but knew well that the old club still owed him money. "When we agree on the salary postponement, the remaining salary will be paid as an increase for the next time. If I leave, they have to pay immediately," the Argentine striker said.

According to Dybala, Juventus has yet to pay four million USD in salary when he moves to Roma in the summer of 2022. The Argentine striker is considering suing his old club to claim. "In April 2023, Juventus will have the last chance to pay that amount," Dybala added. "If not, my lawyer will ask for it in writing. I hope I won't go that far. I want my money back, but don't file a lawsuit to avoid trouble for me and Juventus."

According to Gazzetta, Juventus agreed to delay wages with some players due to financial difficulties during the Covid-19 pandemic. The player and the club signed an agreement on paper, but Juventus never sent the document to the Serie A Organizing Committee.

The most successful club in Serie A also falsified financial statements during the same period. On January 20, the Organizing Committee penalized by deducting 15 points for the 2022-2023 season. Juventus is currently seventh with 35 points after 24 rounds, 12 points behind fourth-placed Milan.

The last time Juventus won Serie A was the 2019-2020 season. The club holds a record of 36 league titles, 17 more than Milan and Inter.

At the beginning of the 2022-2023 season, Juventus still spent up to $ 65 million to buy Bremer, Kostic, Milik and Paredes. The "old lady" also signed Di Maria and Paul Pogba on a free transfer.

In the group stage of the Champions League 2022-2023, Juventus lost five and only won one match. They ranked third behind Benfica and PSG. After going down to the Europa League, Juventus won Nantes 4-1 in the play-off round. "The old lady" will meet Freiburg in two round of 1/8 matches on March 9 and 16.

Dybala joined Juventus from Palermo in 2015, for a transfer fee of 45 million USD. During his seven years with Juventus, the Argentine striker scored 115 goals in 293 matches, winning five Serie A, four Italian Cups and three Italian Super Cups.

From the summer of 2022, Dybala left Juventus because he did not reach an agreement to extend his contract. He later joined Roma, and became the mainstay of the team's attack under Jose Mourinho. Today, Dyabala will join Roma against Juventus in the 25th round match of Serie A.
