Doan Van Hau bid farewell to Hanoi Club
Doan Van Hau's contract with Hanoi FC is still valid for more than a year, but according to MetaSports sources, the two sides have agreed to liquidate soon. The left-back of the Vietnamese team will sign a two-year contract with a rookie V-League. Specific details will be announced after AFF 2022.
Van Hau was born in 1999 in Thai Binh, grew up in the youth training center of Hanoi T&T (now Hanoi FC). He was promoted to the first team in 2017 and became the youngest player of Hanoi FC to play in the V-League at 18 years, 2 months and 17 days. With the capital team, the 1.86-meter-tall left-back won three V-League championships, two National Cups and two National Super Cups.
Van Hau attended the U20 FIFA World Cup in 2017 at the age of 17. A year later, he started in the tactical scheme of coach Park Hang-seo, won the runner-up position of U23 Asia in Changzhou and won the AFF Cup 2018. Van Hau's trophy collection was completed in 2019. when he scored a brace in the final, helping Vietnam beat Indonesia 3-0, winning the SEA Games gold medal.
