Djokovic is suspected of having an elbow injury
Elbow is where Djokovic had surgery in 2018. During the practice session before the third round of the Monte Carlo Masters, the 35-year-old tennis player wore a black bandage on his right elbow. He then continued to wear bandages as he entered the Lorenzo Musetti arena.

This match Djokovic serves very badly compared to the form he has shown since the beginning of the season. He lost eight serve games, including seven in the first two sets – something that had never happened in his career. In the previous 17 games this season, Djokovic lost only 17 serving games.
"It feels very bad to play like this," Djokovic said after being eliminated by Musetti. "But I don't think this is a disaster for me. I want to congratulate Musetti on playing well at an important moment."
Djokovic and the team did not disclose their fitness status. But according to L'Equipe journalist Quentin Moynet, a colleague of his said he saw Djokovic hurt after his backhand effort in practice with Matteo Berrettini a few days ago. Djokovic then had to perform pain relief massage in the gym.
Djokovic will return to Serbia, and is expected to participate in the Srpska Open - the new ATP 250 tournament has moved from Belgrade to Banja Luka, Bosnia & Herzegovina. If fitness is guaranteed, Djokovic will play two Masters 1000 in Madrid and Rome, before participating in Roland Garros.
