Djokovic: 'Anyone can win the ATP Finals'
Djokovic got off to a smooth start in the ATP Finals Reds, beating Tsitsipas 6-4, 7-6(4) in a match where only a single break-point was utilized. Djokovic's ninth consecutive victory over juniors, who are ranked number three in the world and the number two seed in the ATP Finals.
"Anyone here could be a title contender," Djokovic said after the match. "They are the best of the season, in good form and full of confidence. I need to give my best to have any hope of winning the game."
Djokovic hit high form in the year-end indoor hard court season. He has won 14 of the last 15 matches, only narrowly losing in the Paris Masters final to Holger Rune. Rune and Hubert Hurkacz are two subs at the ATP Finals, often practicing with Djokovic these days.
"I'm feeling good, the shots are usually done with the right idea," added Djokovic. "Indoor hard courts are the favorite surface of many players, not just me. So the opportunity is widening for everyone here."

Djokovic aims for his sixth ATP Finals title, equaling Roger Federer's record. But the last time the Serbian was crowned was 2015. In the past six years, Djokovic played two more finals but lost to Andy Murray and Alexander Zverev.
Djokovic's next opponent in the Red group is Andrey Rublev, who unexpectedly defeated Daniil Medvedev in three sets, in which the third set tie-break ended with a score of 9-7. The Blue Table continues to play today, with the main match of Rafael Nadal and Felix Auger-Aliassime, taking place at 8 pm, Hanoi time. The loser of this match will be eliminated after the group stage.
