Dimitrov was robbed while attending the Barcelona Open
Dimitrov said he was caught by a motorcyclist who took his watch from his wrist. The incident happened on the evening of April 15 at Avenida de Sarria, Barcelona.

According to Dimitrov's report, his car was broken by a motorcyclist. The Bulgarian tennis player reached out to adjust the mirror when another motorcyclist jumped up and snatched his watch.
Dimitrov then drove to the police station to report the incident. Witnesses said the 31-year-old was calm and had no intention of chasing the robbers. The robbery is being investigated by the Barcelona police.
Dimitrov is not the first tennis star to lose his fortune in Barcelona. Rafael Nadal has twice stolen his watch when he came here to attend the tournament. Both are limited edition watches, priced at $370,000 and $520,000 respectively. However, Nadal was not robbed in broad daylight like Dimitrov.
The Barcelona police report shows that the number of burglaries increases every time there are major events in the city. Professional gangs of robbers target celebrities, who often carry expensive jewelry.
The Barcelona Open kicked off the main round today, with Dimitrov as the 11th seed. He was exempt from the opening round and will play from the second round, facing either Ramos Vinolas or Emelio Gomez.
Nadal missed the Barcelona Open at the last minute because he could not recover from a hip injury. This prize Carlos Alcaraz is the first seed, along with Frances Tiafoe, Casper Ruud and Karen Khachanov. The other branch has top seeds like Cameron Norrie, Jannik Sinner, Alex de Minaur and Stefanos Tsitsipas.
