A few weeks ago, the people who loved volleyball in Kandal village, Monorom city, Cambodia had just experienced a big shock. During a volleyball match, the 41-year-old athlete asked to stop the match because of dizziness and heart palpitations.
The middle-aged man stood unsteadily and was led by his teammates to the yard to rest, while drinking water, he suddenly collapsed and fainted. Doctors determined the man had passed away on the way to the hospital.

Police identified the victim as 41-year-old Nai Sophorn, the cause of death is believed to be heat stroke, the body lost a lot of water due to playing in the hot weather for a long time.
The Cambodian authorities also recommend that athletes should not compete in extreme conditions, especially in the current weather conditions in Monorom Cambodia, which is sometimes up to 36 degrees Celsius and can reach approximately 40 degrees. at noon.

Similar to Vietnam, Cambodians love volleyball, but the physical conditions are still difficult, causing most amateur athletes to compete outdoors with unsafe conditions.
