Coach Steve Kerr on the 2022/23 season: "I failed"
Recently, sharing with Sport Illustrated, coach Steve Kerr commented that the Golden State Warriors are not a championship-caliber team in the 2022/23 season.
The person who won 4 championship rings as head coach blamed himself for letting the harmony between the members be extinguished.

"I failed to bring the whole team together," the 57-year-old strategist shared. "I've spent a lot of time this summer thinking about last year, what I could have done and should have done differently."
"I really believe that sometimes defeats are necessary, because they force you to re-evaluate and change your approach. I'm excited to be back in the new season with renewed focus, energy and spirit from the whole team. All changes will come from within myself."

This season, coach Steve Kerr will have to strengthen the ability to bond the members, as the Golden State Warriors have made some important changes.
The team decided to keep the cast including Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. However, swapping young talent Jordan Poole for 12-time All-Star defender Chris Paul will have a big impact on the squad structure.
Paul, 38, is one of the best defenders in NBA history, but it will take time to get used to the style of Golden State, which is slower in half-court sets. It will be a bit difficult for coach Steve Kerr to define Paul's role.

Another change is that the father of the Warriors empire, Bob Myers has gone, making way for Mike Dunleavy Jr. In the first year, he added Dario Saric and Cory Joseph.
"He understands the team's capabilities and potential," coach Steve Kerr said of Dunleavy. "Mike has strengthened his squad with a number of veteran players plus those who are willing to play as leaders. The squad has a balance of experience and youth."
