Vietnam used to have a medical team, physical expert or video analysis. Those jobs are very important but Vietnam does not have such experts. They let the coach take care of everything. The team must converge many experts in each aspect to promote their full potential. We decided to use old personnel, because hiring new people will cost extra labor costs.

The consistency is important for a team, because when newcomers come, we will have to teach them from the beginning. Therefore, I took Dr. Choi Ju-young to Vietnam and let him work for four years. Once there are enough experts in each aspect, the division of work will be easier. When considered as experts and doing the right expertise, they will be aware of the higher sense of responsibility. The team prepared carefully, the chance of winning higher.

Vietnamese football is creating a system, though not perfect. But the Vietnamese team will be stronger and stronger if the economy develops, as well as Korea. My mission is to clearly differentiate each team on the recruitment and leave it to the successor. I don't know who the successor is, but I will try to leave enough information for that person.

- He said respect for Vietnamese culture and customs. Specifically like?

- When Guus Hiddink chose to be a Korean assistant in 2002, I thought I needed to learn experience for the case that I went abroad to work later. I told Vietnamese coaches: 'Not me, it is you who are the owner of Vietnamese football. Do not depend on me, but think and find the solution. '

Rice and shrimp noodles are traditional Vietnamese foods. But football players need a more calorie -rich diet. Instead of saying the player 'stop eating noodles' when I first came, I asked VFF to support. I said they sent nutrition experts to teach players. The students I said that for the first time they learned such things. Now, the players always drink milk first and voluntarily care for themselves more.

Another culture of Vietnam is napping, but at first I could not understand. But in my experience, I found a short sleep will be effective when it is hot. At that time, the training sessions will be more quality. Now I often take a nap. Following the indigenous culture is also a reasonable plan.

Action is still better than words. If I didn't integrate with the team, I could not do anything. At first, people prepare Korean food for me, and Vietnamese dishes for the players. Of course, I have no criticism of Korean food. But I asked them to provide Vietnamese food to me, like the players. They did not realize that, but the player always looked at the coach. If I eat Korean food, there will be an invisible psychological barrier between my teachers and students, causing negative for the team. Now I eat Vietnamese food because I'm addicted.

- What is the Vietnamese spirit in the players?

- Before each tournament, I divided the squad of 30 people into three groups, each group of 10 players. I suggest that each group chose the leader and discuss what the group's goals are and how to achieve that goal. Each player also needs to prepare to support his teammates. Before starting the training session, the groups will notify their discussion content. In this way, each of the group will have the same goal. The players will be more responsible to do well their work. The slogan of the team: 'We are Vietnam', which is also the result of a group discussion.

I think the Vietnam Journey to the U23 Asian finals in 2018 is the same as their history, when defeating more stronger opponents to protect the country. I asked the players: 'What is Vietnamese spirit? I am Korean so I don't understand. Please tell me. ' Through group discussion, the first Vietnamese spiritual players 'are solidarity, the second pride, the third intelligence and the fourth spirit of eternal fighting'.

Those four elements are like football. Football is a collective game, requiring a solidarity player, proud, wise to play with the spirit of fighting without giving up.

- There are rumors from a native YouTuber that there is a conflict and conflict between Park and VFF. What is the story?

- There is no conflict at all. VFF and I contact regularly, good cooperation. Sometimes we disagree, like a schedule. But that is nothing big. It seems that Youtuber constantly posted provocative content, and I hope that person will restrain a little. There is also a Youtuber not speaking Korean but still posting false rumors, most of the content is not correct. Those things do not affect my work. But I can face the problem, if people consider those content to be real. So I want them to stop posting like that.

- What is your goal in the future?

- In the short term, I want to win the AFF Cup at the end of 2022. We brought happiness to Vietnamese people when winning 2018, for the first time in 10 years. But in the previous period, we lost to Thailand in the semi -finals and missed the opportunity to protect the throne. This time I will have to collect debts.

And in the long term, I only know football, so I will try to do my job well.
