On the Forsyth Barr field (Dunedin city), Vietnam was completely inferior to the Netherlands. The whole match, coach Mai Duc Chung's team controlled the ball 27%, launched five shots - nearly nine times less than the defending runner-up. If the Dutch strikers make better use of the opportunities, or the goalkeeper Tran Thi Kim Thanh as well as the substitute in the second half Khong Thi Hang are not excellent, the net of Vietnam could bounce more.

"Vietnam's level is not comparable, it must be said that the force is not heartless," said Mr. Chung. "The players played with a very high spirit but did not cover their expertise, it was well deserved to lose."

In the first World Cup, Vietnam fell into the group of Death, including the defending champion USA and the runner-up Netherlands. So, the team's goal is just to rub, experience the atmosphere of world-class competition and hope to score goals.

In the opening match, Vietnam made a positive impression with its resilient play, and only lost 0-3 to the US. In the match against Portugal, despite early conceding a goal, the team tried to hold out and lost 0-2. However, in the final turn, coach Mai Duc Chung's army broke down and suffered the biggest loss since the beginning of this year's World Cup. Before that, Morocco lost to Germany and the Philippines lost to Norway with the same score 0-6.

"We have been preparing for more than a year for this World Cup journey, have been given a lot of conditions to have friction matches. Through those matches, the players have improved a lot. But, we still have a lot to do. must work more to close the gap in qualifications," added Mr. Chung, at the same time expressing gratitude to the fans who have supported the team over the past time.
