Gia Lai coach Kiatisak Senamuang announced that next season HAGL will race for the championship instead of having to race for relegation like in the V-League 2023.

Yesterday, HAGL suddenly lost to Ho Chi Minh City 0-1 right at Pleiku Stadium. In this match, coach Kiatisuk kept goalkeeper Huynh Tuan Linh and striker Paollo Oliveira with the most goals. In the second half, while being led, the Thai military leader even continued to withdraw pillars such as foreign striker Washington Brandao, midfielder Chau Ngoc Quang, Nguyen Tuan Anh or Tran Minh Vuong.

This, along with the fact that HAGL last season also lost at home when Ho Chi Minh City was thirsty for relegation points, raised many doubts. When asked about this strange way of using troops, coach Kiatisuk said: "I still use the strongest squad. In the second half, I brought young players in to have a real battle, test my ability. Thereby, I have a reputation. books to be submitted to the German electorate to prepare for the coming season".

The Thai leader then announced: "HAGL has big goals next season. We want to win the V-League".

HAGL has been "empty hands" for the past 19 years. The last time the German football team won the title was 2004, when Kiatisuk was still playing.

In 2014, a group of talented players from the first generation of the academy, Nguyen Cong Phuong, Nguyen Van Toan, Nguyen Tuan Anh, Luong Xuan Truong... were promoted to the V-League with the expectation of winning. In 2017, elected Duc even announced that "two years from now HAGL will kick no one can stand it". But in fact, HAGL always has to race for relegation. In 2021, they played sublimely, leading through 12 rounds, but the tournament was later canceled because of Covid-19.

This year, HAGL set a target of the top 5. However, the whole stage I only won one victory, so they fell to the group of six relegation teams in phase II. At this time, coach Kiatisuk's army just exploded, winning three consecutive victories against Khanh Hoa, Binh Duong and Da Nang to soon stay relegated.

Coach Kiatisuk said that HAGL this season did not complete the initial target but succeeded in attracting young players to play in the V-League. He said: "Next season HAGL does not need to buy domestic players. Bau Duc just needs to focus on buying foreign soldiers. We want to compete for the championship."
