Hanoi Police (CAHN) in turn lost 0-1 to Da Nang in the 13th round of phase I, lost to Nam Dinh after a penalty shootout in the 1/8 round of the National Cup and drew 1-1 with Ha Tinh in the first round of phase II of the V-League. In the match at Quy Nhon Stadium this afternoon, July 22, the team also spent 90 difficult minutes to secure the victory against host Binh Dinh, also the first win and clean sheet since Quang Hai and Filip Nguyen joined.

In the 6th minute, Binh Dinh's goal shook with Tran Van Trung's long shot. Two minutes later, midfielder Tan Sinh headed down the vertical post, but Van Lam's goal only stood firm until the 29th minute.

In an attempt to break the ball, two Binh Dinh players bumped into each other so that Ho Tan Tai had a chance to control the penalty area. The 26-year-old full-back turned the ball and cut the left foot that was not dominant, the ball hit the ground and goalkeeper Van Lam was out of sight, so his reflexes were slow, leading to a goal. Tan Tai did not celebrate the goal but knelt down and clasped his hands to show respect for the old team.

Minutes later the game was even with few chances created. When the second half passed three minutes, Jhon Cley volleyed at about 18m, but Van Lam beautifully blocked it. After that, coach Duc Thang launched central midfielders Do Van Thuan and Ha Duc Chinh on the field to help Binh Dinh attack better, but both lacked the ability to pass assists. Besides, Duc Chinh, Rafaelson and Marlon Rangel all lacked sharpness in the ice phase at the end.

About the last 25 minutes, the game was shredded with fouls by players on both sides and was on the court to buy time for CAHN. Five minutes of compensation was the time when Binh Dinh pressed, goalkeeper Dang Van Lam also joined the attack but could not find an equalizer.

The victory helped CAHN maintain the top position, while Hanoi FC and Viettel fell to Ha Tinh and Nam Dinh respectively when they only got a draw. CAHN has 28 points, while Hanoi and Viettel have 26 and 25.
