Ho Chi Minh City's host boxer Tran Quoc Tuan defeated two foreign opponents one after another to win the MuayThai One King - Victory in Pride event on the evening of September 17.

According to the 4-Man Tournament format of MuayThai, four boxers of the same weight class will be divided into two pairs, competing in a single night to find the champion. One King - Victory in Pride is the first 4-man Tournament event in Vietnam.

In the 68kg category, Quoc Tuan was drawn to compete with British boxer Mamouh Ali Mous. With the class of the reigning champion WBC MuayThai Vietnam, the home boxer dominated with a series of accurate strikes in all three rounds.

In the championship match, Saigon Sports Club members met Mochamed Machaev - the Russian boxer who won against Mukhammad Omonov (Uzbekistan) in the remaining match of the weight class.

This final match was fierce with fierce counter-attacks at the beginning of the match. Thanks to home advantage and better physical strength, Quoc Tuan gradually outperformed in the second half of the match, continuously scoring points. After three rounds, the Vietnamese boxer was awarded the victory according to the referee's score. The 68kg championship brought Quoc Tuan a bonus of 5,000 USD (about 120 million VND) - the highest ever in the Vietnamese MuayThai village.

In the 60kg category, another home boxer Nguyen Van Duc Nghia stopped in the first match, losing to Julian Leo Gravine - a Japanese boxer then won the remaining match to win the championship.

The organizers said that after this successful event, tournaments will be regularly held to create a stage for Vietnamese MuayThai fighters to test fire with international stars.
