Bomb threat to Ghana team hotel
Over the weekend, the Double Tree Hilton hotel, where the Ghana national team is stationed at the 2022 World Cup, was suddenly threatened with a bomb threat. According to a notice from the Ghana Football Association, the alarm went off suddenly, forcing the Ghanaian players and all hotel guests to temporarily evacuate.

Fire crews and security forces were at the scene to check the situation and ensure safety. After 45 minutes of thorough search, the team members as well as the guests were able to return to their rooms.
Before the Ghana team arrived at the hotel on Friday, the hotel was temporarily closed for a thorough inspection with the help of security experts and sniffer dogs. Security has also been beefed up during the World Cup.

When the Ghana team arrived at the hotel at the weekend, hundreds of fans were there to greet the players, forcing security forces to step in and provide assistance. In the past few days, there are still quite a few fans gathered around this place, making the security of the hotel always set at a high level.

To ensure a smooth World Cup, Qatar deployed tens of thousands of security personnel. In addition, the World Cup host country has signed many security cooperation agreements with 13 countries, even equipping with "high-tech capabilities" to enhance security both in the air, at sea and on land.
