Ben Simmons is in a state of fitness: Ready to come back strong next season?
Over time, the name Ben Simmons gradually sank into the fans' minds because he was constantly absent, unable to play or even practice with the Brooklyn Nets.
Although Ben could not shoot, he was a quality scorer in the Philadelphia 76ers shirt. But things quickly turned around after he was traded to Brooklyn, a deal that helped Philly get James Harden.
Since joining the new team, Ben Simmons has only played 42 times in 2 seasons, just over 25% of the total number of games that he can play.

Even so, good news has emerged regarding the 1996 Australian defender. ESPN reporter Marc J. Spears quoted a source close to him as saying:
“I spoke to my source who is very close to Ben Simmons. They think that Ben Simmons has just entered the final stages of preparation for the new season, has surpassed all standards and is in the best shape in many years.
The Brooklyn Nets have supported Ben Simmons a lot and plan to have him become the team's main defender next season. The goal of the coaching staff is to get Simmons back to the best level of his career, which he showed before leaving Philadelphia."

Ben Simmons' peak season with the 76ers was 2019-20 when he played 57 matches with an average of more than 35 minutes per game. There, the Australian defender scored 16.4 points with 8.0 assists, 7.8 rebounds and 2.1 steals.
Thanks to his impressive physicality, Simmons played well in both attack and defense to win 3 bright spots at the same time: All-Star, All-NBA (3rd Team) and NBA All-Defense (1st Team).
This is the goal that the Brooklyn Nets coaching staff and assistant team set, directing Ben Simmons next season when he plays the main PG of the team.

To support this goal, some teammates like Mikal Bridges, Spencer Dinwiddie or the upper echelons like head coach Jacque Vaughn and technical director Sean Marks all have positive comments about Ben Simmons.
“I have great faith in Ben. I believe he will come back and I am confident in the ability that Ben will come back in the strongest way. All injury problems have been solved, especially in the back area with many complex unknowns.
Now Ben is completely healthy to focus on training, looking forward to the new season. Not only me but every member of the team supports Ben, all believe in an explosive season ahead," Mikal Bridges shared earlier this week.

The entire Brooklyn Nets team has been patient and put their full trust in Ben Simmons. Now it will be the Australian defender's turn to respond to the expectations of not only the team but also the fans.
With no shadow of Kevin Durant or Kyrie Irving in front of him, Simmons will have a better chance to re-appear in the most powerful way.
