Bayern successfully collects debt in Freiburg
Coach Thomas Tuchel changed a lot in the starting lineup compared to the previous defeat. He let Alphonso Davies, Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala and Sadio Mane start. Gnabry soon had a chance to open the scoring in the eighth minute. From a cross on the left, the former Arsenal midfielder headed in from close range but could not beat goalkeeper Mark Flekken.

Just like the match on midweek, Bayern controlled the ball and attacked sharper than the opponent. 10 minutes after Gnabry's chance, Mane combined with his teammates and then escaped to the left corner to face Flekken. The Senegal striker poked the toe of his shoe to the far corner but the ball missed the wooden frame.
It was not until the end of the first half that Freiburg had a chance. From a steal in the middle of the field and a quick counterattack, Lucas Holer came down to face Yann Sommer but shot over the bar. Ten minutes after this situation, the owner of the Europa-Park stadium missed the most obvious opportunity in the first half when the Japanese player Ritsu Doan hit the ball and hit the post from just a few meters away.
On the opposite side, Thomas Muller and Leroy Sane also ended up in the penalty area, making Bayern unable to score in the first 45 minutes.
The deadlock of the match was only broken at the beginning of the second half by a super product. In the situation of pressing the field with the whole team, midfielder Matthijs De Ligt shot from a distance of nearly 30 meters. The ball went to the outside of the cheek, flew past the defender and hit the high corner, leaving Flekken unable to fly. The Dutch player's second goal after 23 Bundesliga matches this season.
Bayern continued to dominate after opening the scoring. In the 56th minute, Mane missed another chance to score when his header from close range was blocked by Flekken. Three minutes later, Sane faced the goalkeeper but hit the ball over the bar.
Freiburg only accelerated in the second half of the second half and created a few scoring opportunities. The most significant was Roland Sallai's stretch volley in the 70th minute, prompting Sommer to save the visitors. Playing defensive counter-attack gives Bayern more opportunities to widen the gap. In the 77th minute, Sane shot one more shot over the bar in the face of the goalkeeper. Gnabry also failed to beat Flekken in the same situation in the second minute of offset.

Bayern's attack once again disappointed when only scored one goal after 23 shots in this match. The attacking stars trusted by coach Tuchel in the starting lineup all had chances but no one scored. Bayern's biggest difference compared to the defeat three days ago is that the defense kept a clean sheet.
Three points did not help the top of the table Bayern move further than the chasing team, because in the same match Dortmund also defeated Union Berlin 2-1. The yellow shirt team has 56 points after 27 matches, two points behind Bayern when the tournament has seven rounds left.
