According to coach Mikel Arteta, effectively taking advantage of opportunities is a key factor for Arsenal in the race to win the Premier League this season.

"There is still a lot of things to improve and we are humble enough to recognize them," Arteta said after the reverse victory against Aston Villa 4-2 in the 24th round of the Premier League on February 18. "We don't need to create as many chances as we do every game to win. Creating fewer chances but taking them well is enough to win, and we need to improve on that."

According to the Spanish coach, Arsenal was stopped by Brentford by VAR's mistake and lost to Man City because of missing at least three clear opportunities. Therefore, Arteta was pleased when Arsenal cut their three-match winless streak, regained confidence and returned to the top.

At Villa Park yesterday, the host was twice ahead thanks to two close-range shots from Ollie Watkins and Philippe Coutinho. But Bukayo Saka's volley and Oleksandr Zinchenko's long shot helped Arsenal equalize in turn.

The "Gunners" created suffocating pressure in the second half and exploded in injury time. In the third minute of compensation, rookie Jorginho hit the bar from afar, hit the ground and bounced off Emiliano Martinez's head and flew back into the net of Aston Villa. The Argentina goalkeeper went up to participate in the air battle at the corner, helping Arsenal counterattack. Fabio Vieira did not finish from afar, but poked a gap for Gabriel Martinelli to dive down and then simply cushion the ball into an empty net, setting the score 4-2.

Arteta compared the emotion throughout the game to a roller coaster ride and was particularly emotional with the two goals in stoppage time. He was also proud when his students showed resilience, personality, determination and quality despite the unfavorable schedule - having to play only 63 hours after the 12th round match lost to Man City 1-3. on Wednesday night.

Arsenal won a Premier League game for the first time while being behind at half-time, since their 2-1 win over Liverpool in September 2009. When asked if this was a reverse win for the champions, Arteta replied: "There are going to be games where you have to win in the 94th or 96th minute, you have to score in a short position. The most important thing is to get three points in any game. We always talk about that and today the whole team went through a really difficult situation, especially when we conceded a goal after only five minutes, but then the whole team showed a lot of quality and all emotions to win".

The 40-year-old coach was also surprised with Jorginho's long shot. He continued to praise the player: "His greatest quality is to help the rest. He makes a big impact on the players, the club members and hopefully the fans can see that and support Jorginho. I think Jorginho played really well today."

Arteta explained to Martinelli as the substitute because the Brazilian striker has been playing continuously since the beginning of the season, and Leandro Trossard deserves to start. The Spanish coach said Saka had no serious problems, and Thomas Partey had to take at least another week off.

On February 25, Arsenal became Leicester's guest and then returned to the Emirates Stadium to host Everton on March 1.
