Alcaraz Wins Barcelona Open
Alcaraz maintains a record of winning against Tsitsipas through four confrontations. The combination of aggressive attacking style with small misses and tenacious defense helped the 19-year-old defend an ATP Tour title for the first time.
Alcaraz has won the last 14 matches in Spain. Against Tsitsipas, he was 1-2 in the first set after losing the serve game, but won five of the next six games to take the first set. In the second set, only one game of winning the ball was enough for Alcaraz to close the match after 79 minutes. The ninth title as a teenager helps Alcaraz narrow the gap with top ATP Novak Djokovic to 365 points. Next week, Alcaraz will attend the Madrid Open - the tournament Nole is absent due to physical problems.

At the ATP 250 tournament in Munich, another 19-year-old, Holger Rune, also defended the title. The Danish player won the first set 6-4, then lost the second set 1-6 to Botic Van de Zandschulp. A right shoulder injury left Rune 2-5 in the third set. He saved four match-points to return and won 7-6 in the deciding set, thereby claiming his fourth career championship. At the ATP 250 clay events, Rune remained undefeated after nine fights.
In Bosnia & Herzegovina, the Srpska Open championship belongs to Dusan Lajovic - the player who defeated Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinals. Lajovic interrupted Andrey Rublev's eight consecutive wins, with a 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 victory in two hours and 32 minutes.
Lajovic also beat Rublev in the final of another ATP 250 clay event, at Umag 2019. For the first time in his career, the Serbian player won two top 10 opponents in the same tournament. Lajovic rose 30 places on the ATP scoreboard, rising to world number 40.
