AFC U23 qualifying schedule 2023

The 2024 Asian U23 qualifying round takes place in September 2023, with 43 teams divided into 11 groups. The group of players participating in the tournament will be born from January 1, 2001 onwards. Teams compete in a round robin, calculate points, select the top 11 teams and four high-achieving teams along with host Qatar to attend the final round. Qatar still plays the qualifying round to compete, and their achievements with the teams in Group B do not count. Therefore, it can be considered that Group B has only three teams, like Group K of Indonesia.

Group C - held in Phu Tho - is considered comfortable for Vietnam, when Singapore and Guam have never entered the U23 Asian Cup finals, and Yemen has not been able to participate in the last three periods. On the contrary, Vietnam is a regular guest at the last four tournaments, even being the runner-up of 2018 under Coach Park Hang-seo, and the top 8 in 2022 with Coach Gong Oh-kyun.

The final round takes place in 2024, from April 15 to May 3 in three cities in Qatar, with 16 teams. Teams are divided into four groups, then play by knockout from the quarterfinals to choose the top three teams to attend the 2024 Olympics in Paris. The fourth-placed Asian U23 team will compete for a ticket with the African representative.
