Adam Scott got lucky when he missed a hole-in-one
The tournament is in the form of individual holes, bringing together the top 64 in the world to compete for a prize fund of 20 million USD at Austin Country Club, Texas from March 22 to 26.
Confronting Burns, the former world number one Scott was led or held for the first 10 holes. On the 11th hole par3, when the game was even, Scott shot straight towards the target. But when he got there, the ball hit the flagpole, right across the mouth of the hole. After impact, it bounced off the green slope, near the lake and 13.7 meters from the entry point.

Meanwhile, Burns finished playing three meters away from the flag. He and Scott both finished the 11th hole after two putts and the result was a draw.
To hole 12, the two sides are still balanced. The next five holes Scott was led again and had to remove and hold a draw. In the end, Scott lost to Burns by 1 up when he finished the 18th hole at a bogey and the opponent kept par.
With this result, Burns has two points from two wins, Scott has 1.5 points.
Scott was born in 1980, played professionally since the age of 20. The Australian golfer has been at the top of the world professional men's golf table for 11 weeks, has won the 2013 major Masters in 14 cups on the PGA Tour and won eight times in the European peer-to-peer arena DP World Tour. And 26-year-old Burns, an American, has won four championships in the US first-class golf arena over six years of professional play.
Dell Match Play 2023 divides 64 competitors into 16 round-robin groups to select the 16 highest scoring faces into the knockout round, including the semi-finals and the final. According to this process, from the starting line to the finish line there will be seven matches. This year's tournament, defending champion Scheffler won two matches.
Last year, Scottie Scheffler picked up the trophy after defeating Kevin Kisner with a 4 & 3 result.
The hole match ends when the number of ups is greater than the number of holes remaining, represented by the number of ups that came first.
