26 Dutch tourists come to Vietnam to run MetaSports Marathon
Bib MetaSports Marathon Imperial Hue 2023 on the afternoon of April 14 was vibrant with the appearance of a group of international tourists. Noel Peeter, the team leader, stands out with a red T-shirt with Vietnamese conical motifs and the words "Marathon Imperial Hue". He personally prepared this special shirt, as a way to show his love for the running race that will take place on April 16. Noel discussed very carefully with BTC to support members to get Bib and running items.
"We're from Rijinmond, a travel-and-marathon group that brings together runners from all over the world," said Noel Peeter. The group consists of 34 members, who met while participating in a marathon in New York. Every year, they plan to explore new lands and combine the experience of running a marathon.
Rijinmond has participated in races in the US, Canada, Africa, Argentina, Singapore, Macao... "Vietnam was voted as the next destination of the group. This is the first time we have come to Vietnam and participated in this event. the first marathon in Vietnam," said Noel Peeter excitedly.
The team found the Imperial Hue Marathon on the website of international marathons. Information about the race, the route, the running experience is really attractive, according to Noel.
Rijinmond's athletes range in age from 45 to 75, most choose the 21km distance at the MetaSports Marathon Imperial Hue. Information about the running schedule, the shuttle bus to the starting place and after finishing, the relay breakfast, the notes ... are updated in detail on the Rijinmond group.
"The weather in Hue is quite hot right now. Apart from the professional organization, I really don't know what lies ahead. So I'm looking forward to the race day to run and experience", Noel Peeter speak.
The group will have two weeks to experience in Vietnam. They flew to Ho Chi Minh City a few days ago, in the afternoon jogging through the typical streets of Saigon. Five days in Hue are expected to be special experiences with MetaSports Marathon. The group also wants to visit the mausoleum, learn the history and enjoy the cuisine of the ancient capital. After that, Rijinmond plans to go to Ha Long, Hanoi...
On its own website, Rijinmond posts experiences in Vietnam, with a separate section titled: "A trip to Vietnam with Marathon Imperrail Hue", which is being updated daily. "We are looking forward to exciting things in the upcoming race," said Rijinmond 68-year-old runner Yvonne van Bentum, registered for the 10km race.
MetaSports Marathon Imperial Hue 2023 takes place at 3 am, April 16. The tournament attracts more than 300 international athletes competing in many distances. This is one of the most popular races in the MetaSports Marathon system, thanks to its green track, which is convenient to combine travel.
