12 teams participate in the national 7-player football tournament

Teams from Foreign Trade University, National Economics University, Vietnam Maritime University, Hai Phong University, Pacific University, Nha Trang University, Central Highlands University, Polytechnic College, University Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry, Van Lang University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Physical Education and Sports and Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports.

12 teams divided into three groups compete in a round-robin format. Six first and second teams in three groups and two third-placed teams with good records won tickets to the quarterfinals and knockout.

The prize for the champion team is worth 60 million VND, the runner-up team is 40 million VND and the third place is 20 million VND. The award also has a Style Prize worth 10 million VND, Top scorer worth 5 million VND, Best Player worth 5 million VND...

As a rule, each team is allowed to register 15 players and five officials. The organizers financed the teams with all travel expenses and a part of accommodation. The tournament only took place in a month with a dense density because the organizers wanted to minimize the impact on the learning and funding of the participating teams.

The national 7-player football championship is jointly organized by Vietfootball, VTV Cab and VNPay is the main sponsor.
