10,000 runners from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City have completed nearly 690,000 km in the '1 billion steps - Beyond miracles' campaign organized by Heineken.

On the occasion of Heineken's 150th anniversary, Heineken 0.0 in Vietnam has brought the campaign "1 billion steps - beyond miracles", which took place from July 1 to 21. The brand cooperates with the California Fitness & Yoga gym system to implement the program.

The event has the participation of a number of names in the sports industry such as art ball player Do Kim Phuc, triathlon athlete Tran Nhan. "For a long time, I have always set a goal of exercising regularly, jogging every day wherever I am with the spirit of '0 nothing 0 can.' This time I joined this campaign and wanted to spread that spirit to everyone," Tran Nhan said.

Within 21 days, the Newme application recorded more than 10,000 participants, contributed more than 1 billion steps, exceeding the expected target. Notably, the campaign leader has completed more than 1 million steps, equivalent to nearly 690 km.

"We are very surprised by the response of the sports community. 1 billion steps in 21 days is not a simple challenge, but anyone can become a hero with zero sportsmanship," a Heineken 0.0 representative shared. Accompanying the journey of 1 Billion Steps - Beyond Miracles is Heineken 0.0 that helps athletes enjoy the moment of celebration after training while ensuring a calorie balance in the body.

After the event, gifts such as vouchers at California Fitness & Yoga system, Macbook, Apple Watch, Marshall Speaker and gift sets including T-shirts, notebooks, tote bags, water bottles and 12,000 cans of Heineken 0.0 were given to participants.

In particular, the biggest reward of the program is a pair of tickets to Australia, for the most resilient fighter during the journey of 1 billion steps - Overcoming the miracle belongs to Ms. Do Thi Ngoc. From zero, Ngoc worked hard for 21 days to get the best results.

"I feel proud of my achievements. To achieve this goal, each person needs to have a steadfast will, discipline in the process of training, and at the same time combine with a reasonable diet and activities. Those who really give their best to break their own limits will find meaning when participating in this challenge," Ngoc said.
