      The Norwegian League A consists of 16 teams, which adopt a double round robin competition system (each team plays with other teams twice as the host team and away team respectively). The calculation method of points in a single game is that the winner gets 3 points, the loser gets 0 points, and both sides get 1 point in a draw. Finally, the ranking order is based on the number of points. If the points are the same, the ranking is based on the number of goals won or lost. The champion and runner up of the league will be directly promoted to the next season's Super League, and the 3-6th place will participate in the upgrading play off. The upgrading play off champion and the last third place of Norwegian Super will have two rounds of upgrading play off to determine the next season's Norwegian Super qualification. The third from the bottom of the First Division League and the winner of the Second Division League play offs will have two rounds of ascending and descending play offs to determine Norway's qualification for the next season. The two teams at the bottom of the Serie A league table will be relegated to Serie B next season.
